In late 1987, The Pinnacle Peak Land Company was opening a new section of Troon for development in Scottsdale, Arizona when workers uncovered evidence of a significant archeological site. The find led to the excavation of portions of what archeologists judged to be an important Hohokam site. In late March, 1988 approximately 3,400 residents attended a 2 1/2 day open house that was organized by Jerry and Florence Nelson, owners of Pinnacle Peak Land Company, and Arizona State University. Copies of this beautiful 13" X 19" poster, featuring artifacts found during the dig, were donated by the Nelsons and made available to guests.
